Damon,
I have a 1987 900T Convertible, and I was getting inaccurate readings on my boost guage, but the boost was there. I was also sporadically getting real scary reading on my temp guage. I found the source. Remove the drivers side speaker grille on the dashboard top, and get in there with a 7mm crescent wrench and tighten up the bolt, or if it is frozen, some good old fashioned WD-40 ought to do the trick. If that does not work, go to Townsend Imports on the web for a new boost guage. Good luck!
