Driving a 2005 9-3 Arc I want to add that while this model Saab does some things very well- safety, seat comfort, ergonomics it does other things very poorly considering the premium price we are asked to pay. Ride quality, gas mileage, some interior parts quality are things this car does not do well.
I must echo earlier comments that I have always wondered why, when Saab/GM were sitting and planning this car they didn't go the extra mile to produce the absolute best possible car. Doing so would have transformed the 9-3 from an "ok" automobile to a potentially great one, with the resulting up tick in sales. It almost seems that GM didn't and still doesn't want this car to be too good!
