Dealer damaged my car. Advice?

Run into a bit of a problem and not sure how to best deal with it. Brought my car in for service at my local dealer. They somehow damaged it, requiring body work. They are going to straighten out and repaint two body panels at their body shop. My dilemma. The car was absolutely mint, unblemished factory paint. I'm sure the repair will be fine, but it will no longer be "original paint". As I see it, my car has now lost resale value. To make it worse, they tried to fix it without me knowing. I only found out because I went in to see how the service was going, after a few days had elapsed with no word (bit long for an oil change), didn't see the car, and a mechanic told me it was gone to the bodyshop. Whaaat? Says I.
They did give me a loaner for the time my car was in, so I'm not out rental costs or anything, my issue, which I have yet to voice, is that the car has lost value.
So, what would you do if you were in my shoes? Are they liable for anything more than fixing the damage? Where should I go with this?
Thanks for any help. I've never had to deal with something like this and have thus refrained from saying anything to them. Need advice.
PS: My warranty expires in 1500 miles, I want an extended warranty. Possibly going to purchase one at this dealer.
Name withheld incase my service manager is reading this :-)
