17" Sumritimos HTR ZRs on my 9-3 will outperform the 15" and 16" OEM SAAB Pirellis, Michelins and Dunlops in rain or snow. Aftermarket tires and largers rims are good investment. If you are happy with the OEM stock, thats great, but don't rationalize your happiness by discounting the advantages of better tires on larger wheels. If the logic of smaller is better, why would sports cars not ride on 13" wheels. Consider this, which bike handles better at high speed, a scooter or a motorcycle. Larger wheel size sharpens handling. If you are performance oriented, you should investigate upgrades, you won't be sorry you did.
