I got steamed and went through a lot of effort to take digital photos, post them on a website, and sent links to the folks at Wheel Collision Center.
To their credit, after reviewing the photos, they admitted that the defects were there and that the wheels should have never been sent to me in that condition. They will offer me a full refund.
The wheels will be thrown away since the defects are not repairable. If I wasn't so steamed that I followed up with multiple calls, I would have been out the shipping costs. Lessons learned: you have to be persistant. I'm still not happy that they automatically put all responsibility on me to prove that the wheels were defective but I guess they did stand by their product in the end.
Now I have my money back but I am also still out the BBS RK-II's. Boy, I've been searching high and low for these wheels and I may have to give up and switch my sights to a different set.
