I don't think Kumho is the way to go. I have seen a lot more cupping on the Kumho tires than any other brand.
Some brand tires mounted on a certain car model is more prone to cupping than other brand tires on the same car. But you have already tried a couple of different brands.
It seems like cupping of rear tires were introduced with the NG900 model in 94. Before that I didn't feel it was that big of a problem.
Does the shop do a full 4 wheel alignment? Many alignment chains only do a 2 wheel and in many of those cases only a toe in alignment.
Have you had the rear shocks replaced?
On the older cars, pre 94, it was usually bad rear shocks that created cupping.
