I have been a loyal Saab owner for 25 years and have sold a number of cars through recommendations. Until the last year I had not remotely considered buying anything but a Saab. However, Turbo failure & short block replacement (Saab pitched in some $), idler pulley, gas tank seal, and most recently DIC. Fixed SID myself. Except for the gas tank, all failures are well publicized throughout the board, yet when asking the dealer about incident rates, there is a silence, eyes turn away and look at the floor. I can understand a dealer taking this position and believe if it were in their power to make things right they would. Even with all of the problems, I would stand by Saab if they made things right. And don't get me started on why some are able to get reimbursed and others are left out to dry. I love everything about the car except for how Saab has handled the major mechanical issues. They think they are saving a few $ buy not paying out warranty or good will - how much does it cost them to in advertising and other promotions (lower price, ect) to woo new buyers. I am sure alot more than what it would cost to make it right for the current owners.

Thanks for letting me vent.
