Admittedly, I don't know much about car speaker and its implementation. Looks like S. Goldberg above has a much better knowledge about how the system is laid out in Saab. If he is correct, and I have no reason to doubt him, you're not getting full range signal to any of the doors. Unless you can locate and bypass the filters, adding the full range drivers to the doors may not be that useful. (What were planning to use? Lowether, Fostex ..?) The center speaker seems to be the largest one (6.5", ~6Ohm) and possibly run full range.
What's troubling is the 1.8Ohm load, which is down right nasty even if the speaker sensitivity is a 100db. Something tells me that the amp is a current limiting one, so these side speakers (1.8ohm) are current starved and therefore has relatively lower sound output. Unfortunately, there is no volume adjustment available for individual channels. Stay away from Class-D amps should you decide to change the amp; these switching amps don't fair well below 4Ohms.
