either can't or won't repair the module, then what are my best options?
$2600 for the dealer replacement part?
Find a used unit somewhere and take the chance it will go bad?
Sell the car?
Other?
Or, from my symptoms could it actually be something besides the control module? Is there anything else that can make the speedo die in the company of the brake and ABS warning lights?
ATE is asking me to check the voltage on the connector pins that supply power to the unit. This seems like a reaonable first step.
It just seems very odd to me that I get no CEL and only occasionally the P0501 code pending. And although there is such a thing as coincidence, it also seems very odd to me that the symptoms got much worse when I did the rotor/pads, and caliper replacement.
