I took it to the dealer and they read the same P0501 code that I already read (for $100) and told me I needed a new ABS unit ($2600). That's when I sent the controller to be rebuilt.
This cost me $100. When I get this resolved - especially if it's a wheel sensor problem - I intend to demand a refund of the $100.
Unfortunately, the nearest indie with a Tech2 is approx 150- 175 miles away.
