The E-H in the M3 article I read in European Car. But, we are talking about the enthusiast on a budget can afford. That would be me. I am not putting 40K down for a car in this lifetime. I am very handy at fixing cars of all types, I buy used as a result. So, the E-H may see me in about 8 years or so. Thus, for now the 5 speed Saab works. Conceptually the E-H is great, but, I can only wonder what is given up by its use? If done well, I suspect nothing, but, software will be the controlling issue. ON the M3 as I recall from the article there were 5 or more shifting maps that were available. That would work for the enthusist. However, I for one would not like to have to fix one of those transmissions gone wrong. Thus, I think the stick will be around at least for a little longer for us poor folk.
