you do need to do suspension work with those numbers Posted by Snowmobile [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Just measured so called ride height..., bill h., Fri, 19 Apr 2013 09:09:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Front may not be a concern yet. My arc is now slightly below spec but balanced front and back (it's slightly higher than an aero now iirc). The Konis front and back vastly improved the handling. The choice of perch depends a bit on what spacers you use - you can measure the old shocks and the new ones when both are off the car.
I don't find our Arc harsh harsh at all (even on 17" wheels and performance tires), but before the Konis, it would wallow around corners as you describe. I am used to driving c900s where there is a lot more road feel than the 9-5's (and I like road feel) so ymmv... if there is a lot of banging around up front, check the sway bar links - mine were shot at this mileage.
oh, and loctite the top nuts on the konis!
I just looked at a 04 Aero wagon the other day with 100k on it, and it also needed shocks - tires were cupping, all the usual problems. Very common, but easy to fix up.
