Hear, hear--although I've never seen a SAAB dead on the side of the road, I did come across a dead, new-at-the-time MB S-class with Florida plates! This was on NYC's Cross Bronx Expressway, during usual "parking lot" traffic conditions. I figured I was going nowhere fast, and I might as well help these folks out, since I had a cell phone with me at the time.
Inside were a middle-aged couple, and the husband looked confused. The car would crank, fire roughly, and then stall after 2 seconds. (Yes, it had gas in it) Turns out they worked for a rich guy in Florida and they were driving the car down there for him. They actually didn't speak much English, thank goodness for my high-school Spanish!
Anyhow, I called up ME/BE roadside assistance, gave them the stranded car's location, and I continued on my way.
Anyone here ever help out a stranded Saaber? [ Saabite, Saabian, etc. :) ]
Jason
