Most people who purchase imported upscale cars know something about them. After looking over the market they see an overpriced, underfeatured, undervalued, unreliable, quirky and eccentric vehicle which has little cachet. This is especially so when they consider the competition. The recent Saab marketing tries to address these problems but apparently not too well. If the reliabilty and service issues are corrected along with the perception that Saabs are driven only by eastern academics and other snobs then there is a chance for the brand to survive.
