I drive an '00 Aero wagon, black, BBS, 5 spd. Wife drives our 4th Audi, A6 2.7 tiptronic. Audi (w/o sport susp., is a little numb in corners. The Saab is much more fun to drive with crisper handling, and instant acceleration with the stick shift. However, the Saab is really lacking in features I expect at this price point. Here the Audi shines and BTW, we have not had a single service problem.
Compare: Audi has-ALL maintenance covered for 50k/48mo except tires; all 4 windows are 1 touch up AND down with pinch protection(so I don't have to steer with my teeth after exiting the toll and trying to put up the window in the rain, and shift; all windows/sunroof retain power after removing key until you open the door(can close a window or the sunroof w/o turning key back "on"; remotes are programmed to be driver specific, my remote for the Audi puts the seat and mirrors on my setting automatically when I use it; on a hot day, you can use the key to open all 4 windows simultaneously before you get in; ditto on locking, when the sunroof will also close if you want it to; heated seats each of 4 has 6 position control so all front and back passengers can make their own selection; radio controls that let you switch from AM to FM directly w/o scrolloing past FM1, FM2, AM everytime.
I'll stop because I really love driving the Aero, but as a fan, I wish Saab would have their product planners spend 3 mos driving the competition and add some of the many features that currently are lacking.
