Yes - I use it all the time for a couple of functions. It's so easy to enter the distance to your destination, and then let it calculate your estimated arrival time. I find it extremely useful for seeing if I need to make up time on the journey in order to get to my destination by the time I need to get there. It's great on longer journey's too - with the kids in the car. I leave it on estimated time of arrival, and they are much happier as they can see how much longer it will be until we get there.
Speed Alarm I don't use - mainly because it bleeps continuously once you've exceeded the set speed. I'd like to have it "pip" as I transited various speeds - eg, 30, 40, 50 and 70 mph - different speed limits in the UK.
Distance till tank Empty is handy too - If I'm pressed for time, the indication is handy to let me know if I can get to my destination without refuelling.
