The ETA is useful- when you're setting out on a long road trip its nice to know how far you've got to go. I find its quite accurate usually, although a traffic jam during the last portion of your trip can cause some problems.
DTE- lets you know how much time you've got to find your favourite brand of gasoline when you're out of town
Max Speed warning- If you're worried about speeding this can be useful. I like to set mine at the current all-time top speed record. That way I know when I've broken it. My speed warning is currently set at 240kms/hr which is incidentally as fast as my snow tires are rated for. Looking forward to beating that once the Primacy's are back on!
The ETA function also measures distances if you set the distance to "0". I find this useful when I'm billing mileage for work.
Haven't found a good use for the "alarm" function yet...
