Phosphorous and Catalytic Converters

P can degrade the effectiveness of some catalytic converters (doesn't damage them, just makes them work less well) and some manufacturers are proposing lower limits for the next ILSAC spec. I guess the issue is what kind of cat the manufacturer uses and how much oil consumption. Saab doesn't require and ILSAC spec, so I'm guessing relatively high phosphorous isn't a problem for them.
the zinc dithiophosphate is a very effective anti-wear agent, and diesel oils have a lot of it!
I'm thinking that there's an organic moly compound that can be used in motor oil, not MoS2. MoS2 is a dry film lubricant - you find it in a lot of greases, but I don't think it's common in motor oil.
