Hi,
I don't know Greg from Jason. They may in fact be plotting with my
evil ex-girlfriend to destroy me :-)
I also don't know TG from Lou, and I certainly don't know about TG's
impressive friends with _their_ millions of miles.
So basically, we look for verifiable data and facts that support
each other.
Following is link to a figure. It shows Blackstone lab results for
Mobil 1 10W-30, Mobil 1 15W-50 and Delvac 1. In fact it _does_ show
that Saab Synthetic Blend has additive package somewhat comparable to
that of the well regarded Delvac 1 (has no Boron but makes up for it
with Calcium).
Filtered water comment is also worth commenting on. I _also_ happen
to be a coffee nut. I bought a $100 grinder so that I can grind my
beans seconds before pouring water into a $50 "Freedom" press coffee maker.
People go their entire lives not _ever_ grinding their own beans.
That's _their_ problem. Americans _do_ have a lot of free time. We
don't have a nice short word for "dying at work from exhaustion" like
the Japanese do. Look what the Japanese economy has done in the last
ten years, and look what the U.S. economy has done in the last ten
years. The fact that we can BS about Saabs, coffee and oil, while not
thinking about our idiot bosses, is a _good_ thing. It allows us to
go back into work the next day to put up with aforementioned idiot boss
without a machete cocked in a purposeful manner.
I'm a caffein-holic, Saab-holic _and_ an oil-holic (I curse the day
Greg gave me the BITOG link!). I would go to the caffein-holic,
Saab-holic and oil-holic meetings, but I'm afraid I wouldn't meet a lot
of chicks at such meetings, just other oily and twitchy guys.
thanks
jae
