Your post shows just how much people can be influenced by statistics and surveys and other types of data that can be massaged to show just about anything that someone wants. Consider this. What other manufacturer than Saab goes to an suto show with a couple of smashed up models of it's vehicles that have clobbered each other in a 70 mPH frontal impact to show how well the basic structure holds up in a real world crash? everyone else is showing off the newest chrome polish, while Saab has the guts to put a few destroyed models in it's exhibit area. Does that influence your opinion about whether the car is safe enough?
