How I became a SAAB fan
My wife was driving to work with me in the passenger front (Death) seat when a tractor trailer truck came at us out of control. My wife slammed on the brakes, threw the manual into reverse and floored it. As the tractor trailer imbedded into our hood she slowly applied the brakes. We lived, the 1982 92 SAAB stopped the truck on the down hill, and the car was repairable. I sold my Triumph TR6 and Spitfire and Corvette over the next several months as each of these cars we would have died in. How fortunate that we took the tank to work that day. I now have an 18 year old and a fourteen year old (Both boys) and we have a Dodge Grand Caravan, 1992 SAAB 9000S and a 2002 Aero. The SAAB does not prevent stupidity but it helps cushion it.
