but it's not advisable. I did this on my car for about 8,000 miles and although pleased, my Speedparts Stage 2 ECU provides a decent amount of punch and no check engine light :). So here's what you do (this is in previous posts of mine, as well). First, I put a bleeder valve (constructed of parts from Home Depot) on the wastegate. I had the car boosting approx. 15psi, I believe, w/ just this. This was giving me full boost in all gears b/c of the bleeder valve (which kept it at constant boost). I then turned the wastegate arm a few (I think it was 2 and a half or 3 and a half) turns to the left (have to check on this). This brought me up to approx. 18psi and increased my base boost (i.e. the turbo spooled faster). It did feel great, but when I installed the Remus exhaust, I ran into a problem. I was on a backroad in SC at around 5K in 2nd when I let off to go around a turn. I had my hand on the shifter and could feel the fuel ignite in the exhaust (backfire) right underneath it...scared the crap out of me. After that I returned things back to stock and started researching a safer way to acheive more power. Speedparts and Taliaferro got my bid. Anyway, the Saab Tech that helped me w/ this had this same bleeder valve on his NG900 for several years (and tens of thousands of miles) w/ no problems. I think it lends itself better to the T5 equipped Saab's. As I said before it will cause your check engine light, which I eventually got used to. I apologize for the vagueness, as I had this setup last year and have had many other things on my mind since then. If any of you would like me to figure out how many turns and which way on the wastegate I used, please let me know. I can get in touch w/ the Saab Tech tomorrow and post from work. Lastly, the approx. boost numbers mentioned above were found by going up a hill at WOT from about 2K - 4K w/ the Tech II hooked up to my car. (The advantages of working at a Saab dealer :) ).
