The SAAB dealer has:
1. 5W-30 synthetic blend/semi-synthetic, and
2. 0W-30 fully synthetic
VVK at BITOG (= Vlad on TSN?) has informed me that the new SAAB 0W-30 synthetic is ELF Evolution 0W-30, not Mobil.
The 0W-30 will flow just a little better in the extreme cold (due to its 0W viscosity, and the fact it's fully synthetic) but in Chicago I don't think it would be a big deal. So either will be fine...
If you frequently drive full throttle (or you're just obsessive about oil) go with something with an "ACEA A3" rating, like Mobil 1 0W-40, or Castrol Syntec 0W-30 (the new version that says "Made in Germany" on the back).
nb: the vast majority of owners should change their oil every 5,000 miles!
