I have no experience with EBC pads, but had a horrible brake squeal problem with my Mintex pads after having my tires rotated mid-summer. I discovered the source of the problem while doing a major brake cleaning, brake lubrication, and re-installation of the same pads.
The source was over tightening of the wheel lugs by the "Techs" at the tire shop. After reducing the torque to Saab's recommended 80 ft-lbs the squeal rapidly disappeared. The 120 ft-lbs on the rear wheels and 160 ft-lbs on the front wheels had apparently caused minor warping of the rotor or hub causing the noise. I am thankfull it was only temporary warpage.
