Just replaced front pads on'99 9-5 wagon with 72K mi useing Akebono(sp?) ceramic pads from Tirerack.Couldn't find DOT4 fluid so used Valvoline Syn,no silicone and supposidely compatible with DOT3/4 for fluid flush.Installation straigforeward thanks to Saabnet info. With reasonable bedding in and 100 mi on vehicle brake pedal force seems about 20% higher with good feel. Can't really say that they are better than OEM.I like the way my '03 9-5 sedan stops better than my wife's wagon with the new brakes. Perhaps more bedding in is required. Rotors were fine at 72K mi.
