Those who claim that the braking ability of the EBC pads is less than stock Saab pads might be confusing pedal pressure with braking force. I have the EBC pads on my car, and agree that the pressure required to achieve a certain level of braking force is a little higher, but that does not mean that the pads are not as good, or that the car wuold not achieve the same % of G force that the stock pads can achieve. Only a full road test with instrumentation could answer that.Personally,I found the stock pads to be a bit too sensitive for my preferences, and not only was the dust a major pain, but I too believe that the accelerated wear of Saab rotors is in part due to the material in the stock pads.I am able to achieve imminent wheel lockup with the EBC pads,meaning the limit of braking is tire/traction limited, and not a function of the braking system.
