The range is pitiful compared to my VW passat. I have noticed it's better when you are walking up to the back of the car then the front. Also turning the so that the back of it faces the car improves the range a little. Usually I can touch the car before the remote will work.
For a car that comes from a country that can get so cold, I'm surprised at how things don't work when the car is cold. For instance, our mirror memory didn't work when I got in the car after it had been sitting outside. The seat moved but not the mirrors. They started working again after the car had been driven a little.
