This has been talked about quite a few times on the board, and it always brings up both sides of the argument. Every few months the same rant comes up from someone new. I don't understand why you want to unlock the car from far away. What's the difference between unlocking a few steps away and doing it from across the parking lot? For those rare times when you walk away without locking the car, and want to do it far away, take it as a lesson to lock it before you walk away. I have yet to hear a realistic practical reason to need to unlock or lock the car from far away. To Saab, this is a feature, not a limitation. It's talked about on the CD that came with my 2001 wagon as a anti-code stealing and carjacking measure.
