Two tricks to improve the pitiful range. One is the transmitter is in the butt of the key not down the shaft, so aim the butt of the key at the car, not the key shaft. Two is press the fob against your chin in effect using you chin as an antenna to increase range.
After reading some of the other posts I'm wondering if pressing the fob against your chin is really using the chin as an antenna or just raising the elevation of the fob.
