In my original post, I noted that our remotes don't work at all right now. Their range has never been great, but I agree that elevation used to improve the range somewhat. I assume that since neither key now works at all, I have some kind of malfunction in the system that the dealer will have to fix, unless it is somehow related to the very cold weather we are experiencing here this week.
My wife is not happy. As I said in my original post, she likes to control things from a distance...
As a point of reference, the keyless remotes from our 1995 Ford van continue to work flawlessly, and at a good distance, with the original batteries.
