A couple of months ago, my '94 9000 Aero died while I was traveling over 75MPH on the Highway. Instead of towing it, I had my wife pick me up drove home and removed the Black DI from her 2000 9-5. Drove back, installed it, started the car and drove it home about 1/2 hour with no problems.
At least in a pinch I see no problems interchanging the 2 DI's.
I just wish that Saab would fix this DI issue once and for all, it has been around for more than 13 years. Actually I think it has gotten worse. There is no excuse.
