Hello Dick, I recently ran into an old friend of mine who has been selling Amsoil motor oil products and such for about two years. And he convinced me to buy the Synthetic 5W- 40 European motor oil for my 1999 9 5 se Saab. He boosted to me that i wouldn't have to change the oil for 25,000 miles but i would have to change the filter (that i bought form Amsoil) around the 12,500 mileage mark. I read in your last Amsoil message on this board Dated November 7th/04, that you yourself have changed out the oil on your Saab at the 10,000 mile mark but had the oil analyised to see if it was good to go any further. Do you think you could of gotten that Amsoil to last any further with an oil fliter change at the 10,000 or 12,500 mileage mark? Do you think it is possible to stretch one oil change to last longer to lets say 20,000 miles once you do change out the filter? I know turbos are very hard on oils in the first place. And i'm thinking is there any hard nose evidence from Amsoil that this synthetic oil ( 5W-40 European Engine Oil) from Amsoil can last a very long time, anywhere from 12,500 to 25,000 miles, in a turbo driven car. My friend made a claim that this oil would last 25,000 miles as long as i changed out the filter at the 12,500 mileage mark. I thought i would run this question by you since you have been using the oil longer and selling it too longer than him. Any feed back from you would be a great help to me. I do believe in the Amsoil products and expect great things from it, better than MOBILE ONE. The 15W-50 oil that they make is good but i'm not to happy about it, especially in the winter time. Thanks, D.J.B. in Pasadena
