Yes Ari, your logic is good as usual. I remember a long ago Thermo lecture in which the Prof expounded on the fact the common automotive "radiator" is in fact transferring 99% of its heat to the air via "convection".
In his academic mind, they should all be referred to as "convectors". However, Henry Ford sent us down the wrong road and we have been wandering lost in the thermodynamic wilderness ever since....
FWIW, I always use the top hose cold until thermostat opens test. Feeling by hand the difference between 195 F and 175F, now that I would pay to see someone do (bare handed of course).
