for a car that idles rough. When a turbo car is idling, the intake manifold is in a negative psi state. This also applies to normally aspirated (NA) engines. In other words, when NA car idles, the intake manifold pressure (measured in psi) is also in a negative state. Thus, it should not make a difference what type of FPR (whether that be 2.5 bar, 2.8 bar, or 3.0 bar) you use to determine if your current FPR is the cause for poor idling/crappy running car.
It is a different story though when you have your foot on the gas pedal, then the type of regulator you have will make a difference.
In short, try any known good FPR for a Saab on your car. It should aid in eliminating which component is the cause for your problem(s).
