Well when I get rid of my old stuff, I usually sell it to friends. Really that is the only way that they get "new" stuff. It is quite funny really... When ever someone is wanting an amp or a set of speakers...they come to me and ask if i have any "leads" on a set. When the come to me with requests for anything other than 4" 6x9's or 10/12 inch subs...I send them a packin.
I hear what you are saying about summer work. This summer I am going to dump some money into Saabit. On the list in no order, since it is all getting done, 4 new shocks (I have the stock shocks on there with 122k any suggestions?) Replacing all 4 rotors all around, flushing the brake system once again, flushing the tranny fluid with M1 once again, doing a valve cover gasket job and also throwing in a new chain guide, new cap and rotor (did plugs and wires up here in OH about 5 months ago), having my rear hatch repainted for free (I had a rust hole on my previous hatch (right lower corner of window) and found a white one in a junk yard, $50 later got the entire thing glass lenses and all, took it to be painted after I striped it, $200 and it was a beauty. When I went home for Christmas, the paint shop called me to inform me that I would need to bring my car in to have the hatch repainted. Ends up that DuPont made a bad batch of paint or something, and was going through and paying for them to be redone! Well rather then rush it in there, since I was leaving in a week, going up to the no so good for paint drying and curing cold of OH (middle of Jan) I decided to have them do it when I got back during the summer time. I also plan to have a new windshield put in (free through insurance) because mine now have become quite pitted and sandblasted, getting some nasty glares at night time from oncomming traffic. Oh, and MAYBE a new headgasket...if time permits. I would be the one who would do it, especially during the summer. I have 122k on as far as I know the original headgasket (bought car @ 88k) so that may just be a "what is there to do" thing...
Anyway, Good to hear from you, and if you end up goingt o SOC02, I think a Saab convoy is in order!!
TTYL,
