I'll just chime in here. Ihave been building and testing speakers for over 10 years and I maintain that you will be better served by staying with 2 way speakers. They are cheaper and don't generally have the marketing gimmicks of Ti, and sandwiched drivers, etc. These are just marketing gimmicks and do not improve anything other than the ability to put something sexy on the box or in advertisements. Most of the time, these gimmicks lead to poor sound and poor longevity as well. I stick with polypropylene drivers with rubber surrounds for the woofers (these do well in the sometimes damp environment of a car). The tweeters I like are generally domes and of a cloth type material. (think soft and damped) I have yet to look at a true measurement of a midrange of any sort which actually meets its specifications for frequency response. Usually, the lower end of the advertised response curve is purely complex resonance of the cone structure. When coupled with simple 3rd order crossovers, they just sound noisy in the upper bass and midrange ranges. But I digress... Try looking at Madisound's web page. I buy my drivers from them for home speakers and had a set of 6" rounds for a previous car. They met the design constraints and lasted over 12 years. I sold the car and they still sounded fine. $0.02, YMMV, Yada Yada.
