remove the caliper and hang it by wire or other from the spring while you work on the hub. You are working from a workshop manual of some type - Yes? There are two 19 MM bolts at the back of the hub that mount the caliper. They have a sheetmetal combo-washer under them with bend up locking tabs. Medium size flat blade screwdriver and small hammer to knock the locking tab back away from the bolt head to allow socket to fit. Often they are no longer there, the locking tabs have broken off, or the last tech did not reset them. hang the caliper off the spring with a piece of wire - piece of coat hanger makes a reuseable hook. When you reset the backing plate use locktite so the bolts don't back out again.
