The master is an ideal first project and it will give you great confidence to try more. Takes about an hour. The only bad part is working on your back up under the dash. Much easier if you remove the drivers seat so you can stretch out. Remove two allen bolts at front of seat frame and it rocks right out(unplug heater connectors).
Master is held to firewall by two bolts, control rod is fastened to clutch pedal with a pin and clip. Pinch off fluid line to master with a small vice grip pliers. Replace master and bleed.
GET a Bentley manual. i'd give Jim Moncrief a call 800-583-0370 at sobstory(site sponsor), get the parts and do it yourself. you'll save $100 on labor and probably the same on a rebuilt master. BTW this is a good time to bleed your brakes and put in fresh fluid. A bad clutch master is a clue that your brake/clutch fluid has moisture causing the pitting. Once you have the pressure system made brake bleeding is easy.
