I also prefer the 88's but frinding a clean C900 which has been cared for is the key! 89's went with the LH 2.4 system which is known to be a little more troublesome but I still do not beleive failures are very common but it does happen on occasion.
I have 2 88 SPG's neither of which have the dreded motorized seatbelts & t's kind of the luck of the draw if motorized belts come with the car or not. The reason the aero seats work in the automatic seatbelts is due to the mounting brackets for the seats are different. I beleive the 90 or 91+ have the same pattern as the passive belt equipped cars from 88+ which are the same as the 9000's. However if you do not have this type of brackets in your car, you can have these brackets welded into non passive cars but I unfortunantly found out the hard way that aero seats are not vedry good in a C900 unless you have small legs &/or a aftermarket steering wheel. I also feel you need to be under 5ft 10 to comfortably fit in a C900 with these seats. I unfortunantly found out that my legs rubbed the wheel & my head touched the roof of the car.
To my knowledge, all 900T's had 160 HP. The 87+ SPG's were upped to 165-175 HP depending on the year & the 900T collectors ed went up to 185 HP.
