What will free bolt seized in aluminum housing?Help!

This is the reason I don't gamble. I went to change my thermostat today, 5 minute job. Well...one of the bolt heads snapped off. I considered myself lucky because just the head of the bolt snapped off, and I could get my old vise-grips in there. A few hours later, the vise-grips have whittled the bolt down to a pin. I hammered a socket over the pin, only to break the socket when I tried to turn it. Use lots of good penetrant Rust Buster, works great on steel parts. However, this bolt is in an Aluminum housing. Any advise on this matter? Tomorrow I intend on sawing off what is left of the bolt, and drilling out the bolt, trying an ezi-out. I am fearful of breaking the thermostat housing, and then having to replace the cylinder head, ALL FOR A DAMN THERMOSTAT. I have the world's worst luck.
This is the outer bolt, so one sscenario is to drill the bolt & threads out, and use a nut on the underside, if I must, but I'd rather not do that.
