You can use a jumper to run the fuel pump. Place the jumper between 30 & 87B in the socket for the fuel pump relay. This will work, but the fuel pump will continue to run forever. Till the battery dies. So this was just a test to see if that's your only problem.
You need a jumper from pin 85 (violet wire which goes to pin 20 of the ECU) to ground. Do it from the back of the socket, because next you put the relay back in place. Now the fuel pump only runs when the key is turned on. But in a collision the fuel pump might not STOP running. So be aware of this danger...
About your crank sensor;
The ECU doesn't get a signal directly from the crank sensor. It gets an ignition signal from the EZK ignition system. If it loses that signal, it should have a 'no ignition' fault code (12231). Try this...
1. Get your jumper ready (for reading fault codes).
2. Start the engine, let it run, then let it die. Don't turn off the ignition.
3. Read the fault codes. If 12231 is not present, then the ECU had a good tach signal.
It also wouldn't run properly, since it thinks RPM has dropped to zero & therefore it wouldn't fire the injectors. So even with the fuel pump jumpered, I think it would still die if the tach signal was lost.
