are the exact people that have NEVER worked on a Saab....the majority have never even ridden in one. My first job turning wrenches threw me into a group with 7 other techs that were clueless when it came to Swedish Makes. They relegated them to the "just another foreign car" category along with the Asian makes. Once they saw what I drove (exclusively) the talk around the shop often consisted of the....."just another Saab story" or "Sorry A$$hole Another Bill" garbage until I started bringing in Saab clients and they finally got to see under the bonnett. Within no time one of the guys was driving a 900 that he bought from my customer. The rest were at least quiet once they saw the engineering and mileage common on the cars coming in. THE MILEAGE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! I think it all comes down to misinformation furthered by the fact that Saab people take their Saabs to Saab people and few others see them inside or know anything about them.
