first, cursory glance thru parts catalog *seems* to indicate that the newer style pedal was fitted during mid-88, so if your car is newer, you've most likely got the sleeved pedal.
if your car is older, then grab a flashlight, slide the seat back & look at the pedal where it's mated to the master cylinder via a clevis pin. if there's some play there, then it's prolly worn.
might also be a clutch master getting tired & leaking down a bit 'tween drives. if severity correlates to cold temps, then i'd prolly put some money on the dying slave bet.
