was once replaced at around 40K (after looking at the PO's receipts), in fact it was 12 years less 5 days that is was replaced. Now I know how lomg a clutch pedal lasts !!! The bushing was distorted and the pedal was difficult to seperate from the fork; it had been wollered out to the point where it was almost paper thin on the edges. I guess the best way to look for this is to get on your back and move the clutch pedal. Mine only moved a 1/4 inch or so, but this was enough to cause problems. Bottom line is : If the bushing is paper thin, you'll notice problems. In fact, I'll go so far as to say that, folks with with suspected trans. issues should certainly check their clutch pedals first.
