....the problem is the cars unibody is broken where the a-arms travel from the engine bay out into the wheel well, at the area under the upper of the 2 A-arms. This is the area one would usually shim the a-arm with a home made tool to hold the a-arm up against the spring's downward pressure in order to take the forces off of the ball joints. I tried an alternate method to reduce spring pressure by clamping the spring in the compressed position, but as I mentioned that failed.
