Thank you, John. I have the Bentley manual.
We can probably both agree that there is no such thing as a "coolant" expansion valve, though, as coolant is usually defined as "antifreeze" not freon. I stand corrected, though on the "A/C" expansion valve's location. It's anybody's guess what the original reference was to. I can't believe they checked so many systems beyond what I asked them to check, they didn't do that last year.
I would disagree on the diverter valve though. What I was refering to was the coolant "by-pass" valve. As I have replaced bolth the by-pass valve (in the coolant line above the alternator) and the control valve (in the dash above the heater core), I don't need to be reminded again of where they live. It will be especially hard to forget the location of the control valve.
Hey, apparently I'm not the only one that mixes-up part names (the dealership does too!) As they say; I know just enough to be dangerous!
