Next week, I'm replacing the transmission and doing the headgasket. As long as I'm going to be in there, I'm replacing the bearing shells and various other things.
The engine has 150k or so miles (the usual dead odometer keeps me from knowing how many miles it really has.)
If I'm in there that far, what are your opinions on whether or not I should replace the rings?
If I do replace them, what oil should I use during the breakin period?
It's been a while since I've done this.
