If the cylinder has had to endure Big Gulp abuse over the years it might be brought back to life with boiling water. I don't think WD-40 will cut the sugar goo. Also the black grease that is used to lube the the 3 pivoting gears that operate the switch and reverse lock(if it's still there) can turn to sticky glue after 15 years. It might be resurrected with a good cleaning of the cylinder and lubing the pivot shafts.Follow Chaz's R & R recipe.
