That will be my next venture in the hunt for the culprit! Yes, my car is a 'vert, so the vapor line must run underneath the car or under the backseat and along the rocker panel.
I've removed the trunk floor numerous times, looking for any signs of leakage around the pump and the sender. I see nothing.
The smell is strongest towards the back seats of the car, as well as in the trunk, so I know it is not coming from the front of the car (engine). With all the things I've replaced and checked, the only things left are the vapor line, fuel lines themselves, filler neck, and the sender (I never replaced that). However, when I put my nose down to the sender, I do not smell gas at all. Heck, I don't even smell it near the pump, so I'm thinking it's one of the other things mentioned.
I'm tired of my clothes and anything I leave in the car reeking like a gas station attendant (remember those people from back-in-the-day?).
