It is using oil so it could be blow by but I will check out my Bentley manual and read up on how to test the PCV valve and exactly where it is. Even if it has some blow by, something has made it smoke out the dipstick more recently and hopefully the pcv valve will fix that. I did hear a fairly loud air type noise at where I believe the pcv valve area is but didn't know if that was normal.
Is it easy for you to tell me how to test the valve or do you think the manual will be understandable?
Thanks
